We are looking for

Applicants for doctorates in the technical field (m/f/d)

Your tasks
  • According to systematic familiarisation, you will take on your own development project at a high scientific level with the aim of writing a doctoral thesis in this field of work, e.g. in the following specialist areas
    • New and further development of sensors for coordinate metrology (image processing, optics, mechanics, computed tomography)
    • Software development for the evaluation and visualisation of 3D data
    • Development and validation of new correction methods for sensors and CMMs
    • Implementation of customer-specific measurement task and measurement uncertainty analyses
    • Improvement of measurement and production processes
    • Benchmark tests and implementation of new standards and guidelines
    • Further development of multi-sensor concepts with optical and tactile sensors as well as X-ray computed tomography

If required, we can put you in touch with one of our co-operation partners in the university sector to supervise the doctoral processYourprofile
  • You have a very good university degree in a technical or similar discipline
  • Excellent communication skills and self-confident demeanour
  • Enthusiasm for technical products
  • Motivation to learn independently
  • Ability to work in a team and organisational talent
  • Confident handling of MS Office programmes
  • Initial experience with simulation or evaluation software (Phyton or Matlab)
  • Good knowledge of German and English
